I wonder if publishing regularly is collecting seeds. You get half-formed ideas out which you can then work on in depth. So cycling between (time constrained NOT quality constrained) and (quality constrained NOT time constrained)

Publishing regularly is a way of collecting seeds provided there’s sufficient Feedback
Also that old chestnut of quantity leads to quality is also applicable
But all these are heavily context or situation dependent
I will say I no longer feel I’m at the early stage (where there’s a exponential growth) of a S curve but the tail end (where there’s an asymptote.
The way to break through is to abandon (some of) what got me here because they will not get me there
